goodness josh are you dumb or what. in the same way a world can't be born it can't be literally created. kei is right, and anais nin is generally recognised as having an intellect superior to the average person (read: you).

think about it. 'world' is a metaphor for the emotions and perspectives having a new friend can open up to you-- these might have been outside your experience had a friend not opened your eyes to them. a new world altogether is created with a friendship-- not just the world within you but the world of your relationship, the colours (metaphorically, please), dimensions and experiences that brings in itself.
